Cycling routes in the Luberon starting from Coustellet
Luberon Bike Rental offers 5 marked cycling routes suitable for all levels, starting from our agency in Coustellet (Maubec). Whether you prefer electric bikes, hybrid trekking bikes, or road bikes, each route is tested and approved by our team of Luberon natives.
The Ochre Trail in Roussillon (easy, 250m elevation gain, 3-5 hours) is perfect for a first outing in the Luberon. You'll cross ochre quarries and colorful Provençal villages. The Perched Villages Trail (moderate, 600m elevation gain, 3-6 hours) takes you to Ménerbes, Lacoste, Bonnieux, and Oppède-le-Vieux, villages listed among the most beautiful in France. The Gordes — Sénanque Abbey Trail (difficult, 700m elevation gain, 2-6 hours) is the most iconic: lavender fields, dry stone walls, and the descent to the famous village of Gordes. The Fontaine de Vaucluse Trail (easy, 150m elevation gain, 2-6 hours) is ideal for families, following the Sorgue River. The Calavon Cycle Path (easy, 190m elevation gain, 2-6 hours) is suitable for all cyclists, even beginners.
All our routes are compatible with our Trek Allant 5 e-bikes, our FX2 hybrid bikes, and our Emonda SL5 road bikes. We'll configure the GPS navigation app on your smartphone before you set off. Gordes, Sénanque, Roussillon, Oppède, Ménerbes, Lacoste, Bonnieux, Lourmarin, Buoux, Pont Julien, and Fontaine de Vaucluse are all accessible from Coustellet in a day's cycling.
